Today (I wrote this text on the 16th of May, 2025), I took 14k steps with a 35 kg burden on my back and shoulders.
I do not remember, but I think I have not taken so many steps in one single photo-walk while rucking (please remember, my Dear Friend, that I’ve also taken pictures on Warsaw’s streets). It took me over two and a half hours to walk through Mokotów and Ochota, Warsaw’s districts. I captured the beauty of the streets, the architecture, all while carrying a 35 kg burden on my back and shoulders. As far as I remember, I walked 8 km. Was it hard? It was tremendously hard. I remember that during the last fifteen minutes of 14k steps walking, I was praying for the end. Luckily, I managed to return home safely.
By the way, it was truly cold considering it was May.
It was only 8 degrees Celsius (46 degrees Fahrenheit). While writing this text late in the evening, I was also fatigued. Undoubtedly, primarily due to the title walk. Still, working heavily in the finance area also made me feel tired. While writing all these things, I am only thinking that tomorrow I will sleep as long as possible (ok, I will set up an alarm clock at 1 p.m.). The truth is that I do not devote as much energy and time to my artistic passion as I would like. That’s the way it is. Undoubtedly, I consider it an obstacle that I have overcome to become a better photographer, writer, blogger, and artist.
Also, working and earning money in the finance area provides an opportunity to be a totally independent artist. I need money to cherish my passion, including buying a rucksack to carry a 35 kg burden on my back and shoulders, or to pay for hosting for the www.adammazek.com blog. Tomorrow, after sleeping, I will take another photo walk with rucking.
