This text won’t describe my body receiving an additional 17 kg of fat.
Today (I wrote this text on the 30th of October, 2024), I was walking (rucking, to be more precise) with an additional barbell plate that weighed 17 kg (37 lbs) in my rucksack. I went for a short evening walk because the days were short and I had a lot of work in my office job (remember, my Dear Friend, that I work in a broadly defined finance world). That’s why I did not do street photography. Even though I have a tripod and know how to use it, for me, taking night photos of Warsaw’s streets using a tripod is rather dull. I preferred to be on the move since the very beginning of doing street photography (it all started in October 2015).
The act of constantly being on the move, capturing the essence of the streets, has been a significant part of my fitness journey.
I took “only” 7k steps. Of course, I was also refreshing/cooling my body (it was 13 degrees Celsius [55 degrees Fahrenheit]) because I wore summer clothes (including the www.adammazek.com t-shirt). Did I enjoy my evening walking? Yes, of course! And the thought of capturing the essence of the streets through my lens always brings me joy. I was afraid of the 17 kg of additional weight in my backpack.
Luckily, I managed to return home without any injuries or unforeseen adventures. Do I plan to ruck (to ruck is to walk with a heavy rucksack) with an additional weight of 17 kg in my backpack?
For today, I do not plan it. I want to slowly increase the weight of the barbell plates. Today, I just felt the power that I could do it, and I knew I would take less than 10k steps. That’s why I took the risk. Undoubtedly, thanks to rucking, I’ve got the power. I simply feel my strength has increased since I started doing it (as far as I remember, it happened on the 18th of August, 2024).
