In today’s post (I wrote it on the 2nd of November, 2024), I won’t write that I gained 3 kg.
The truth is that since I started doing intermittent fasting in Christmas 2020 (since July 2024, I have been dry fasting [I do not eat and drink anything until 7 p.m. – except the days when I work in the office and when I am in Brok]), my weight stabilized at ~80 kg. Sometimes I weigh 79 kg and sometimes 83 kg. I do not pay attention to these slight movements of my weight. In the “+3 kg” text, I want to emphasize that I made a mistake in my calculations regarding rucking. I started rucking (walking with a rucksack filled with barbell plates – I started doing it on the 18th of August, 2024) with an additional 10 kg.
Then, I switched to 12 kg. During the last few days, I walked even with 17 kg, and today, I walked with 14 kilograms (taking 12k steps with my beloved Parents in Brok).
Still, while providing all these numbers, I forgot, my Dear Friend, to write how many kg my backpack was. I thought it weighed below 1 kg. That’s why I underestimated its weight. Still, today, it appeared that my backpack weighs 3 kg! What does it mean? This means that when I added an additional 17 kg to my rucksack, I carried a burden of 20 kilograms (44 lbs) on my back and shoulders! Considering that one should ruck with additional weights of 30% of the total body mass (today I weighed 83 kg [183 lbs]), it means I almost reached my limit of 25 kg (55 lbs)!
I thought that I had a long way to go before reaching this limit, but it seems closer than I thought because I need to simply add an additional 3 kg of my rucksack! In conclusion, I want to encourage you, my Dear Friend, to ruck. If you want to strengthen your muscles, there is no better way to do it.
