Today (I wrote this text on the 3rd of May, 2025), I was rucking with 35 kg (77 lbs.) How did I feel?
I felt great. Still, during the last twenty minutes of rucking, I prayed for an end. Even though I had two breaks during my 2-hour stroll, I was fatigued. I did 11k steps. Also, I must mention that I’ve already received back my great rucksack, which I sent as a complaint two weeks ago. Today, for the first time, I decided to weigh my backpack and see how many kg it weighs. So, firstly, I stood on the weight by myself (I weigh 83 kg [183 lbs]). Then, I took the returned backpack, and it appeared that suddenly, my weight increased by 35 kg.
After doing it, I went out of my home to take a walk and do street photography (I took almost 200 pictures during my hectic walk).
While writing all these things, I realized that perhaps, previously, I was a little bit underestimating the weight of my backpack (I’ve never used the weight since I started rucking). Do I plan to keep this weight with each photo walk? Undoubtedly, when I start walking from home, I will stick to this weight. Nevertheless, when I am going out of the office, the weight of my backpack will be lighter. Why?
Because, for today, I will remove 5 kg and add office equipment.
I think it won’t be as much as 5 kg. That’s why I think I won’t have as many kilograms as during today’s stroll. I know I will weigh my rucksack before going to the office. For now, I will stop writing this text. It is the middle of the weekend. I plan to sleep for 10 hours to have the power to do the next walk tomorrow with 35 kg on my back and shoulders. Remember, rest and recovery are just as important as the walk itself.
