6 a.m.

June 24, 2018 by Adam Mazek

It’s 6 a.m. I am not asking myself why I do not sleep.

Since the beginning of March 2018, I started to regularly awake at 6 a.m. I have already mentioned in one of the previous posts that I gave up drinking alcohol. It helped me in improving general functioning during daily activities. What’s most important for me, I started to be more creative by writing a lot of content on my website and producing more pictures. Now, after a little bit longer period, I can add another advantage of not drinking alcohol. It is a regular, healthy, and deep sleep.

The most interesting is the fact that I never complained about the quality of my sleep.

I did not have any severe troubles regarding regular rest. Moreover, I never had problems with drinking alcohol. I drank from two to four beers per week. For Polish standards, it is a small amount. Speaking shortly: thanks to possessing new, regular rhythm of my sleep, I gained new daily routines that did not exist before. Now, as soon as I awake, I give water and food to our lovely cat Azorek. Then, I prepare a coffee, and I start to write. The funniest thing is that I never know what I will write about until I sit in front of my laptop. When I am sitting in front of the computer, I am just closing my eyes, imagine something, and I start to write straight from my mind.

The flow of words that appear in my head is transformed into digital entries. Sometimes, when I lack inspirations, I reach to my previously written “inspirations.”

When I do it, I try to find out if I can develop my previous thoughts. Now, at 6 a.m., it is time to back to my earlier thoughts, broaden and transform them a little bit.

Earlier in my life, I always dreamt of getting up early in the morning. Moreover, I was still dreaming of starting the day in a genuinely productive way. Now, I can do that. I hope that in the future I will be able to get up even earlier. I do not dream of becoming like Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria, who was used to awake and start to work at 4 a.m. But, 5 a.m. is the hour which can also fit for me.
