A 3-day break in writing.

I did not have a 3-day break in writing for a long time.

Adam Mazek Photography 2022. Warsaw Street Photography. Post: "A 3-day break in writing." Minimalism.

I wrote this text on the 30th of January, 2023, after having a 3-day break in writing. If you started to read the www.adammazek.com blog today, my Dear Friend, I should inform you that I wrote one text daily between the beginning of July 2021 and 2022 ending (almost one year and a half). Undoubtedly, it was my personal record. I would like to know if I will break this record in the future. Still, the truth is I do not write to break any records. After such a long writing period, I feel somehow strange when writing nothing. I somehow think that I made an experiment on myself. How? I check whether my texts’ quality will improve after a 3-day break in writing. What’s the result of my experimentation? The result you have in front of your eyes, my Dear Friend. You read it.

As you see, I did not receive a spectacular inspiration to write. Still, it does not mean such an incentive will not appear in the future.

I am still determining which text will appear most influential for future generations. Perhaps none. Will I cry because of this? Of course not. After all, I will already be gone. For today, it is the creative process that counts. I will do my best to write as many short texts as possible. Simultaneously, I plan to take as many photos on Warsaw’s streets as possible. I sometimes wonder about traveling in time to see a Taschen book about all my creative doings that will be published. The truth is that I hope the Adam Mazek anthology will be as fat and heavy as I was in 2011 (I weighed ~99 kg [~218 pounds]). I hope such a collection of books will be in many home libraries, not only in Poland but also worldwide.
