Today (I wrote this text on the 23rd of July, 2023), I am thrilled to share my journey of discovering the extraordinary in the ordinary. This adventure, which I fondly refer to as a photographic journey, has been a source of immense joy and inspiration for me.
I like ordinariness. Moreover, I love visually seeking something magical and unique and ordinariness. It is one of the reasons I have been doing street photography regularly for almost eight years. Seeking otherness in mundane surroundings is something I strive for. When I see something like it, I take a picture of it. Many of my photographs you can see on my blog. Choosing, editing, and publishing is another step of my photographic journey. Do choosing and editing three pictures take a long time for me? In general, it takes about 15-20 minutes. Walking and taking photos on Warsaw’s streets last approximately two hours. I hope my creative pilgrimage will last until my final days.
The truth is that I hope to find uniqueness in familiar places every time I do street photography.
I do not know whether it is possible. Still, I simply want to check it. I want to devote most of my spare time to passion. Indeed, I am already doing it. For me, my creative, photographic journey is also strictly connected with writing. I love writing. Still, I do it not only about photographic or artistic themes. Intermittent fasting and exposing my body to cold (by taking cold showers or walking in summer clothes in frigid temperatures) are other examples of my writing themes. I sometimes wonder if force majeure (e.g., connected with health) will prevent me from doing everything mentioned above. I do not know it. For today, I try to do as much as possible to leave something meaningful behind for future generations. I recommend you start your creative photographic journey today, my Dear Friend.
