The more I write, the more I see that a rested mind is a productive mind.
I wrote this post on the 26th of September, 2022. It was Monday. I would say it was a typical day at work. Still, I went back from the office tired, as usual. I noticed I had many more fresh thoughts and ideas during the weekend when I wanted to write something. The writing process took me much shorter than on Monday. It was when I realized, not the first time in my life, that a rested mind is productive. That’s why I am not a keen admirer of working long hours in the office. In the long term, it will destroy workers’ efficiency, creativeness, spontaneity, and joy of work. I wrote many times on the www.adammazek.com website that relaxation is as crucial (or even more important!) than hard work.
I had a period in my life when I worked for more than ten hours in the office. It lasted for more than two years.
I was young and stupid. Of course, if there are some issues, it is evident that one stays longer in the office. Still, it cannot last more than two weeks. If you focus your life’s energy on a job only, in the long term, your health will collapse. Indeed, it happened to back in 2015. This year, I had horrible back pains. I do not wish anyone to have such back pains.
Moreover, I do not want anyone to spend their life in the office. I believe that there are many different places worth seeing. We all have only one life. There is no use spending all the time hard working. If you really care about your health and job, relax. Remember, my Dear Friend, that a rested mind is productive.
