Yesterday (I wrote this text on the 10th of November, 2023), I told myself to follow a sunny path while walking and doing street photography.
I’ve already written a text about walking during heatwaves. I stated that I should follow a shadow path when I feel scorching sun rays. While walking in frigid temperatures, like yesterday (it was 8 degrees Celsius [46.4 degrees Fahrenheit]), I chose a sunny path rather than a shadowy one. I think it is pretty normal behavior. Sun in November is less murderous than between May and August in Poland. In November, we have relatively low temperatures. That’s why walking through a sunny path is a plausible activity. I like to expose my face to the Sun during Fall and Wintertime. I know I should always use sunscreen, including Fall and Winter.
Still, for today, I do not use it even most of the time in Summer.
I know I will get more wrinkles on my face towards the Sun while walking a sunny path during Fall and Wintertime. But you know what? I don’t care at all. During these seasons, when I have limited access to the Sun, I want to simply seize the moment to catch some sun rays. While writing all these things, I reminded myself of scorching heatwaves. I must admit it. I do not like wandering during hot summer days.
During these days, I do everything I can, including following a shadow path, to avoid burning the Sun.
Now I see that the weather forecast tells us that the following days will be cold (from -2 degrees Celsius to 7 degrees Celsius) and cloudy weather. The older I am, the more I see we have two kinds of Fall in Poland. The first one is grey, muddy, and rainy. The second one, full of colors, is the golden Polish Fall, during which I love to walk along sunny paths.
