Today I will write about “Diaries.” I want to give you, my Dear Friend, more information about how I am creating my mini e-books. Also, I will write about my inspirations.
The fact is that the first edition of Diaries (of September 2017) I wrote and designed more than two years after writing my first post for this blog. It was when I started to analyze how I could celebrate the upcoming second anniversary of running my blog (September 2019). So what happened during these two years?
First, besides taking many pictures, I read many of Taschen’s books.
The more I read them, the more I wanted my photographs to be published in the same astonishing way. Editions of the famous German publishing house inspired me how I could do it. Indeed, reading, watching, and analyzing practically all Taschen books is pure joy. But then, I started to ask myself whether Taschen would be interested in publishing a book about my artistic activity. I did not ask them. I think that, as for today, they simply would not be involved in such a thing. Then, Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s publishing of his texts reappeared in my mind and memory. The famous Russian novelist was doing this activity from 1873 until his death in 1881.
The Taschen publishing house and the XIX century publishing activity of Fyodor Dostoyevsky hinted that I could make my personal “Diaries” by myself.
Then, I started to wonder why I do not have and do not know Adobe InDesign. Luckily, there are pretty easy applications, like Visme. Thanks to the Visme website, I have much more time and energy. Visme’s app is very intuitive. I can design a new number of my “Diaries” within a few hours.
Nevertheless, I hope that I will have enough time to learn Adobe InDesign in the future. That’s it for today. I think I will write more facts about “Diaries” in the future.
