Today (I wrote this text on the 20th of August, 2024), I will provide some thoughts about human relationships.
It is better to assume that other people will not like you and surprise you positively than to believe that everyone will like you and be disappointed occasionally. The worst thing is to change and adjust your character and behavior to make someone a fan of you. Don’t change for others, my Dear Friend, just be yourself. I do not want to adjust myself to other people’s expectations, especially when it comes to the way I live (I do intermittent dry fasting [I do not eat & drink before 7 p.m.] and expose my body to cold) and what I do in my free time (by walking, doing street photography, writing, and managing the www.adammazek.com website for most of my spare time). I won’t compromise in terms of my creative doings.
Of course, all these things do not mean I won’t listen to others.
I am keen to always listen to other people, and, undoubtedly, I am open to hearing new things, recommendations, tips, and tricks. Still, I won’t adjust anything to suit anybody’s needs once I decide that the advice I receive won’t suit me. I suppose a similar case is valid for my potential clients. I know that colorful photos providing happiness and cheerful joy are more likely to be sold. Still, I do not care about it. Also, I do not want to meet the expectations of my potential clients. I do what I know is best regarding my photography. Even if it means I will sell only a few pictures during my lifetime.
I wrote many times on my blog that while walking and doing street photography, I forget about money and happy clients and do not think of how to meet their potential expectations.
I do not care if potential clients will like me. The truth is that I plan to do what my heart, soul, and mind tell me, not others. And in this pursuit, I find immense joy and fulfillment. I know this text was supposed to be more about human relationships. Still, I did not stick to the topic too much.
