The older I am, the more I see and feel that all interpretations of my works are true and correct.
Each of us is an individual. It’s cliche, but it’s true. For everyone, the center of the Universe is placed in one’s mind. The center is everywhere. We all are the sum of our experiences. Thus, everything is okay when someone sees something different in my photographs than I do or others.
Moreover, I do not see anything wrong when someone talks about my works of art in a different way than I think. I believe it is a magic of art that allows various interpretations of many works and topics. Preparing works of art (e.g., “Diaries” or sets of pictures like “Negation of the End,” “Birds,” “Living in Poland,” or “Road to Nowhere”) is not the same process as preparing financial statements in accountancy.
In the first case, nothing has to be correct. Many issues can remain open, unresolved, and understated.
Contrary to the world of finance, where bookings from whole months and years must be closed, each position in the financial statements must be clear and explained. I love switching between these two totally different worlds. I see all my works, texts, and pictures as an open book waiting for curious minds to investigate and explore. Undoubtedly, everything you can see on the www.adammazek.com website is for open-minded people. I do not expect anyone to think like me. Contrary, I hope for discussion. There is nothing wrong with criticizing my work and commenting on it. There are unlimited answers and interpretations regarding everything you see and read on my blog. For me, it is a beautiful thing. If you see something in my pictures – you are right. You are correct if you disagree with me, my Dear Friend.
