Of course, it is evident that we are getting older with each subsequent day. I am not an exception.
Still, I asked myself the title question after changing the tires in my car. It happened on the 7th of May, 2022. The vulcanizer asked me a question about how old I was. I answered I was thirty-seven. I was born in 1985.
That’s strange. I thought you were younger. I thought you were thirty years old.Â
The vulcanizer replied. For me, it was a compliment. Suddenly I reminded myself how often I heard other people’s reactions, and enjoyment, when they heard similar compliments. I was always neutral in such situations. Perhaps, this time I was not neutral to this compliment because it was the first time I had heard something like this. That’s why I realized that I am merely getting older in my mind. The truth is that I feel great in my body. I am convinced that I do not only look younger thanks to intermittent fasting and exposing my body to coldness. I have no doubts that I feel much younger than I am. The truth is that I think my mind is working as if I were twenty years old again.
Moreover, I feel the excitement of everything around me (except the war in Ukraine) as I would be a teenager again in my life.
I suppose I am getting older only because when I hear a compliment mentioned above, I am happy with it. I love life, and I hope to live as long as possible. Still, one must remember that it is not the number of years that counts in one’s life but the amount of energy in life. That’s why I not only work as an accountant, but I do street photography, write new texts, and, in general, create. I hope to get older with my beloved Kamilka nearby and fulfilling in my passion. Â
