I never consider myself a spontaneous person.
Nevertheless, the event from the 16th of June, 2021, denied what I thought about myself. I did not plan any abroad travels in 2021. One of the main reasons for this was the COVID-19 pandemic. It was also one of the main reasons why I did not travel abroad in 2020. Still, on the day mentioned at the beginning of this post, I made a spontaneous decision regarding traveling abroad. Who knows, maybe this decision is my first step towards fulfilling one of my dreams. In the post named “Central-Eastern Europe,” I wrote that my dream is to travel around Central-Eastern European countries and take pictures of almost unknown cities worldwide.
Riga, the capital of Latvia, where we would go with Kamilka at the turn of June and July 2021, is known worldwide.
Still, I decided I wouldn’t wait any longer to fulfill one of my dreams connected with traveling. The truth is that I was vaccinated against coronavirus at the beginning of May 2021. Thus, I can travel abroad. I hope that there won’t be any additional obstacles to travel. Moreover, I hope that our 7-day visit to Riga will start a lifelong project to traveling to Central-Eastern European countries to photograph their mundane suburbs.
Yes, my Dear Friend, I do not want to travel to Riga to see beaches and the Old City of the Latvian capital. I want to go to the usual districts and feel the air there.
It is hard for me to explain, but I desire to see as many Central-Eastern European cities as possible. This unexplainable desire is probably connected with Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s writings. Still, I do not know what to write about this issue for today (I wrote this post on the 17th of June, 2021).
I know that I will go with Kamilka and our kitty, Azorek, to Riga to see beaches and the old city and primarily mundane Latvian suburbias. It was a spontaneous decision, without any planning. That’s why it is hard to answer the titled question.
