Arranging photos into sets is, in my case, a virtually endless task. Why?
This post is a reference to the post entitled “Jigsaw Puzzle.” Arranging pictures into sets is an endless task because many photos can fit into various collections. The best thing is that, as in May 2019 (it was a time when I published the “Jigsaw Puzzle” post), playing with my photographs as a jigsaw puzzle was fun for me, so now (that is on the 12th of August, 2021 – the day when I wrote this text), I have the impression that this activity gives me more and more pleasure and satisfaction.
This is evidenced by the following works (sets of photographs) that I prepared after May 2019:
– Birds,
– The Wall,
– Ostensible Abstraction,
– Earth Wars,
– Trees (three parts),
– Living in Poland (two parts),
– Death (four parts).
When I prepare new posts, I also sometimes arrange photos using sets (if necessary, i.e., if the text’s content requires it). Still, a chronology plays a decisive role in posts. Often, pictures in my posts merely illustrate my thoughts, without any relations. The chronology issue in publishing my photos is definitely a topic for separate posts. I will write more about it in the future. Back to the main topic, today, I want to stress that I predict that playing with my photographs will be something I will do until the end of my life.
I think of preparing new sets of pictures. Initiatory names of collections of images are as follows:
– Big Brother,
– Birds, part II,
– Shadows,
– Inspired by Google,
– Inspired by Tolkien.
I already have selected photographs for some works above, but I do not have leading texts. Or, to some of them, I have written text with only a few selected photographs. Perhaps, some of these works I will publish without a leading text (the same thing I did with “Trees” sets) – I do not know what the future holds. Still, I believe that it is a matter of time when I will publish the finished collections of these works that will be prepared as I would play with jigsaw puzzles. Such play will be, for me, an endless task.
