Today (I wrote this text on the 11th of August, 2024), I will describe another advantage of doing dry fasting.
The truth is that dry fasting has another advantage besides being good for one’s health. Since I dry fast, I don’t want to pee while walking and taking street photography. For me, it is a convenience. Earlier, sometimes, I had to change my route and go, e.g., to the subway station, petrol station, or supermarket to pee. It wasn’t a problem that much, but now I noticed I do not have to seek a proper place to pee. This newfound convenience has made my hobby (walking and doing street photography) more manageable and interesting. While writing all these things, I realized that since I started dry fasting (it happened on the 7th of July, 2024), I do not wake up in the middle of the night to pee.
That’s also a great advantage because I sleep better.
I must admit these are minor pluses of dry fasting. The most beneficial is the fact that it improves my health and well-being. I have a small belly (many people would say I do not have it at all), my skin looks better (“Show me your skin and I will tell you how healthy you are”), my eyes are… beautiful (yes, I have tendencies to be a narcissist; who does not have such ones when uploading their selfies to social media?), my mind works efficiently (who works in broadly defined Finance world +40 hours weekly, take hundreds of street pictures monthly, write texts almost daily, and manage a blog?), my overall well-being is okay.
Of course, I have my own problems, and I know fasting won’t solve all of them. Still, it can help me to improve myself and to become a better version of myself than yesterday. Thus, I know fasting will help me to become a more robust human.
