Today (I wrote this text on the 19th of June, 2023), I will try to explain why art is a language.
The truth is that I speak not only with my texts but also with photographs, “Diaries,” and sets of pictures like “Negation of the End” or “Transience.” By doing it, I am not just communicating with my contemporaries, but also with future generations. I am striving to be part of the eternal dialogue between ages. It’s not about writing profound and groundbreaking content in every text, but about the ongoing process of creating my language and communicating with generations. This is a commitment that will last until my death, and I hope my voice will continue to be heard throughout the subsequent ages. I aspire to share my thoughts, insights, and ideas with millions of other people worldwide.
I believe in one language. We can call this language ‘art.’
While writing about all these things, I realized that art, indeed, does not have to use words to communicate its own voice. After all, we have visual art (with photography at the forefront), music, sculpture, dance, etc. Communicating via art does not mean it has to be conveyed in words. Undoubtedly, speaking with artistic language can be done by mixing all creative genres. I sometimes wonder whether I mix many art genres. Indeed, I mix words with photographs.
Still, there is no sound or music in my works of art.
Perhaps I will add music to my works of art in the future. This is a possibility that I am considering, as I believe it could add another layer of depth and emotion to my creations. I do not know what the future holds. Today, I am focusing on transforming my insights into written words and mix with pictures taken on Warsaw’s streets. I hope this process will last the following minimum of 50 years.
