I love artistic diversity. Today I will shortly describe what this definition means for me.
I will separate artistic diversity into three spheres:
a) making photographs;
b) music;
c) books.
Let’s take a closer look at point number a). Let’s assume that I have three days in a row when I can take photographs. In this case, by artistic diversity, I understand that I will go to three separate places. I live in the Mokotow district in Warsaw. I have already passed by all the estates and practically all the streets in this district.
Nevertheless, during the first day of my three-days-journey, I will go for a very long walk to the farthest places in this district.
In this case, the distance will be crucial for me. My aim would be the massive blocks of flats in the Sadyba estate, placed in Mokotow. On the second day, I would go by car to the Praga district. Praga is situated on the opposite bank of the Vistula river. My central theme would be old, pre II World War tenement houses. On the third day, I would walk to two other districts: Ochota and Okecie. It is what artistic diversity means for me regarding making photographs on the streets of Warsaw.
Let’s go-to point number b). In the “Natural energizer” post, I have already written what kinds of music I love to listen to. In this case, music variety means that I will switch between almost all types of music. While writing a post, I can listen to music such bands and artists like David Bowie, Metallica, Dire Straits, Madonna, Michael Jackson, The Rolling Stones, The Offspring, Pink Floyd, or Chopin. Now I hope you see, my Dear Guest, what music variety means for me.
The last point is point number c). The fact is that during 2018, I read only, written in English, Taschen’s books.
In this case, artistic diversity means that I can easily switch between various Taschen books. During one day, I can read the book exploring the Moon (“Moonfire” N. Mailer). The next day I can learn, for example, about ancient Egypt. Another day I can analyze the artworks of Caravaggio. After that, I can read, for instance, about Stanley Kubrick’s career.
Now, I hope you understand, my Dear Guest, what artistic diversity means for me. I love to switch between various kinds of broadly defined Art.
