The last time I heard, I had an athletic body.
I heard this information from one of my colleagues at my office job (the same one who told me one week earlier that I was a guru regarding intermittent fasting). Was it surprising for me? No, because I knew I had an athletic body. Still, it is always good to hear such kind of compliments from other people. I wrote this text on the 20th of December, 2024. It was a day when I had a break after rucking for seven days in a row. I was carrying 22 kg (49 lbs) on my back and shoulders. Tomorrow, I plan to walk during the day and do street photography during most of my weekends (I think I’ve already written a text about my weekend routine).
Still, I also plan to add an additional 3 kg to my rucksack.
In this case, I plan to walk with 25 kg (55 lbs.) to keep my athletic body. Do I aim to have it only because of aesthetic reasons? Not only. Of course, aesthetics is crucial for most of us, and we all prefer to look healthy. It is pretty normal. Still, I do it for healthy reasons as well. I have no doubt that the more frequently I ruck, the more robust human, physically and mentally, I become. I’ve been doing rucking for four months (since the middle of August 2024), and I have no doubt I will be doing it until the end of my life or my health lets me do it.
I feel rucking refreshes me and keeps me feeling younger, not only in my body but also in my mind, heart, and soul. The sense of rejuvenation I get from rucking is unparalleled. When I think that I can mix my greatest passion, street photography, and expose my body to the cold (by wearing summer clothes, including the www.adammazek.com t-shirts), I have no doubt these are the best things I can do for myself.
