Bielany.

Bielany is a northern-western Warsaw district. Why did I decide to write about this area?

I decided to write about Bielany because I will change my job within the next few days. I wrote this text on the 28th of July, 2022. From the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, I’ve been working in a small town, Szeligi. Szeligi is located ten meters from the western Warsaw district, Bemowo. While working in Szeligi, I could photographically explore western Warsaw’s outskirts and Bemowo, Ursus, Wlochy, and Wola. Working near the Warsaw and Szeligi border was an excellent place to do street photography in places I had rarely visited earlier (I live in Mokotow). By the way, did I mention that there is no wrong place to do street photography? I’ve already written one text about this issue. Still, the truth is that since the 1st of August, 2022, I will be working in Bielany district.

I enjoy this fact not only because I will have opportunities to develop my financial skills, to grow as a professional but also because I will be able to explore photographically the northern-western part of Warsaw.

Of course, I have already been there and did street photography in Bielany, but it was a small part of it. To be more precise, I did street photography, for example, in the Wrzeciono area. Still, I will have opportunities to explore Bielany (and part of Zoliborz) deeply. How happy I am that I live with my beloved Kamilka, work in a great company, and have a passion that absorbs much of my spare time. I cannot wait to start working in a new, great firm and explore Bielany photographically.

Something ends, and something begins.

Within the last few days, I was symbolically ending my photographic journey in Bemowo by walking on the same paths as I was walking from the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. I suppose I won’t return to Bemowo to do street photography soon. Still, I have no doubts that in the furthest future, I will be doing street photography there. All districts are perfect for street photography.
