The more I do street photography, the more I see and feel the world is bizarrely beautiful.
I love walking around mundane places and taking pictures of every strange piece of reality I spot. I do not want to take magnificent, colorful images of things that many people (with tourists at the forefront) do. In terms of photography, I want to do the opposite. I wish to seek an otherworldly beauty hidden in the nooks of the urban tissue. For me, Warsaw is an excellent place to realize my soul. Outskirts of Warsaw, with Bemowo or Bielany districts, are among the best places to seek bizarre beauty. For me, beautiful pictures of people and locations are dull. They are so perfect I want to vomit.
I love walking among old buildings, on the damaged pavements, and observing damp facades where history is written on the walls by usual young people who like to do graffiti.
Even if graffiti is frequently ugly, I do not care at all. For me, it is proof that in a young soul, there is an artist living. I wrote this text on the 4th of October, 2022. It was a day when I did street photography for the fourth day in a row. Of course, it is not my personal record. Still, I am happy to walk along bizarrely beautiful places in Warsaw. For me, it is the essence of life. Life does not look like in the pictures in ads. Indeed, life is painfully beautiful. The unrealistic face of reality does not interest me. What I seek while doing street photography is a bizarre beauty.
I believe this specific magnificence is hidden in every corner of our world. There are places where everybody can notice it (e.g., Niagara Falls or Iceland). Still, I want to find among places where most people would say it is an ugly place. I finish writing this text by stating that I cannot wait for another photo walk!
