Blessed nothingness.

January 6, 2025 by Adam Mazek

The older I am, the more I feel my existence is a blessed nothingness in the totality of the Universe.

I often wonder (and I believe I am not the only one who does it) whether my existence is essential for the whole world, or contrary, it is totally useless for the cosmos. Undoubtedly, the answer is not straightforward. Perhaps both answers, yes and no, are correct. Maybe I am the whole of the Universe, the One, the Unity like God, but at the same time, I am no one, and blessed nothingness runs through my body, mind, heart, soul, and consciousness. Often, I have simultaneous feelings, doubts, and answers regarding these contemplations. Was the Universe created for humankind? Such a theory sounds ridiculous.

Still, what if we humans were the only ones supposed to consciously contemplate, analyze, explore, and admire nature, Earth, clouds, Sun, Moon, and stars?

Was there a conscious intervention of an external agency from another dimension to create such a blessed nothingness as Adam Mazek? Could the Universe not exist without conscious species capable of observing it? Do we live in a matrix? How happy I am. I do not know the answers to all these questions, and I do not have to answer them as I do not have to know the meaning of life except that I am here and now and should just enjoy the ride.

I love rocking in the clouds.

Blessed is not only nothingness but also unawareness of my position in the Universe and who I am. Until my heart beats, I will try to shine on, like the Moon and the stars and the sun, as John Lennon sang in one of the most tremendous songs, “Instant Karma.” Even though I wrote that I do not believe in John Lennon, we can always turn some songs on and enjoy the moment of blessed nothingness.
