As I prepare for my upcoming trip, I’m taking a break from my usual health routines of intermittent fasting and rucking.
These practices have been beneficial for my physical and mental well-being. Still, it’s important to be flexible and adapt to different circumstances. On the 15th of June, 2025, together with my beloved Kamilka and our kitty Azorek, we would go to the Latvian seashore town named Liepaja. I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to explore this beautiful town and the Eastern parts of the Baltic Sea. I believe that all people who work hard each day should sometimes take a break. In the best-case scenario, one could travel. Still, I know that even if I had to spend two weeks in our home in Warsaw, I would still be thrilled and lucky. Why?
Because I could simply focus on street photography and rucking.
Still, for today, I am merely grateful we will go by car to Liepaja to enjoy the Eastern parts of the Baltic Sea. Of course, during vacation, I won’t take a break from street photography. On the contrary, I plan to take my camera practically everywhere. Do we plan special trips? We do not plan to go to Riga, where we’ve already been in 2021. Other trips depend on the weather. The only thing I know is that I do not plan to walk with a heavy rucksack. Also, I plan to eat from dusk until dawn. That’s how intermittent fasting works, in my case. I allow myself to have a feast time when I would be eating the same as before I started intermittent fasting in Christmas 2020.
Undoubtedly, after returning to Warsaw from Latvia, I will also return to eating only in the evening.
What about rucking? During vacation, I will be walking with the rucksack, but it won’t have barbell plates. I will have only food, drinks (I will drink beer while in Liepaja), a blanket, and books. I won’t stress my body with heavyweights. The anticipation of returning to my normal routines after this trip is comforting, and I look forward to the familiar rhythm of my daily life.
