Have you ever been at the end of the world?
If no, I know one place which can be recognized as such an area. Brok, one of the smallest Polish towns. It is situated in the North-Eastern part of Masovian Voivodeship, in Poland. Surrounded by a wood complex (composed mainly of pine) named “White Forest,” this unique place brings joy, calm and happiness to not only the visitors but for the inhabitants also.
My hometown is a popular destination for Warsaw citizens for the weekend getaway. If they want to rest from the city and take a breath of fresh air during the weekend, there is no better place to make a trip to 1-2 days. During the walking through the forest, you can see wild animals like deer, wild boar, elk, squirrel, or hare.
It is a magnificent place for all nature lovers.
Three rivers surround Brok. One of them is Bug, the majestic and impressive, the fourth-longest Polish river. Two others are tiny but charming rivers: Brok and Turka.
Time stops in Brok.
If you think of long walking through the beautiful and breathtaking scenery, there is no better place to go. When I always come back to my homeland, I feel very relaxed and chill. Here, we can forget about the noisy and hasty city.
Photographers will also find spectacular sceneries to immortalize on their picture. To mention that Brok is situated in Bug Landscape Park. It is a protected area with low-intensive human activity. The park includes a large variety of landscapes with the most two predominant: the forest complexes and Bug River valley.
If you want to wander in natural surroundings, do the sports outdoor, riding a bicycle, photographing the nature or chill within silence, come here.
Believe me that there is a no better option to spend your weekend outside the city. Someone mischievous would say, “but there is nothing there, ” and I would reply to him, “In Brok, there is everything you need to lead a calm, happy and chilled life.”
