I do not treat my passion as a business. First of all, my artistic experience should provide me a lot of fun, not a lot of money. Is that mean that I cannot sell my photographs?
Of course not. I do not see anything wrong in money earning and in selling one’s works of art. I also do that. The Artfinder platform helps me in reaching worldwide clients. For today (I wrote this post on the 24th of June 2020, I sold eight photographs via Artfinder. I sent six pictures to the United Stated and two to England.
Moreover, I already sold ten photographs here in Poland (not via the Artfinder platform). As we can easily count, in total, I sold seventeen pictures. Is that a good result? For me, it is an acceptable result. I believe that is an excellent option to earn money on one’s hobby.
What is my attitude regarding selling pictures?
The critical factor is that I want to make only print of each photograph. What does it mean? It means that if I already sold seventeen pictures, I will not print any single additional copy of already-sold photographs. I know it is very tempting to sell the second of the image to someone else, but that’s the point of my attitude toward selling pictures. The fact is that I want to sell only once the printing of each photograph. I do hope that the prints of my pictures will be worth much more than they are worth today. To raise the opportunity for this, and to increase a chance to my hopes, I believe that I cannot print a single picture more than once.
How can other people be sure that I published this particular copy?
Simply. I make a signature on each of them. Again, photography is not a business for me. Still, I do not see any restrictions to possess my personal selling attitude.
