In one of my previous posts (entitled “An endless task.”), I mentioned that chronology is the most crucial thing regarding publishing my photos on the www.adammazek.com website.
In this post, I will explain why the chronology counts most regarding publishing my photographs on my blog. What’s my process of uploading pictures first to Lightroom and then to the blog? I will try to explain this issue as clearly as I can.
The chronology of publishing my photos looks as follows:
- I take enough photos to fill my two memory cards (2 x ~2.550 photographs);
- On my third memory card, I fill up to ~900 pictures;
- I upload ~6.000 pictures to my laptop. Still, earlier I move to remote disk the previous folder with ~6.000 images;
- I divide new folder on the laptop into three subfolders (one subfolder = one memory card);
- After uploading, step by step, in a chronological way, I add subsequent pictures to the following texts;
- I wrote this post on the 13th of August, 2021. I predict that it will be published in the middle of 2022. Today, I want to stress it because a similar chronological issue is with my photographs.
- A part of the photos I uploaded from three memory cards at the beginning of August 2021, I started to add to posts that I will publish approximately in April/May/June 2022.
- Why I will publish them in April/May/June 2022? Because, as of 13.08.2021, I already added to my blog posts until the beginning of June 2022.
I hope that I have explained, more or less, why chronology takes a crucial role regarding publishing my photos on the www.adammazek.com website.
The only case when I return to pictures from previous folders is when I prepared subsequent editions of “Diaries” or new sets of images, like “Negation of the End” or “Trees.”
