Through my practice of street photography, I strive to interpret reality by breaking it down into its constituent parts and then reassembling them in a way that offers a new perspective.
How can I prove and show it? I believe my sets of pictures prove that I fragment and recombine constituent parts. What is the creation process of creating my collections of pictures? Speaking shortly, firstly, I take pictures of everything I see and what visually interests me. I do it without any specific idea or topic. Secondly, when I know I have many images from a similar category (e.g., in Lightroom, I tag photos, among others by phrases: “Tolkien,” “Big Brother,” “Transience, “Åšmierć” [from the Polish: “Death”], “Droga” [from the Polish: “Road”]), when I see some patterns in my images or commons points, I know it is a time to prepare a set of pictures.
I do not have to mention that I have already prepared sets of pictures containing all names written above (consecutively: “Inspired By Tolkien,” “Big Brother,” “Transience,” “Death,” and “Road To Nowhere.”).
All pictures included in all sets are constituent parts of reality fragmented and recombined by Adam Mazek. Is it artistry? I think we could say so. Does it mean I am an artist? Of course, my Dear Friend, I am an artist. I am a creative person on the same level as you. It is up to you whether you will try to awaken dreaming deep inside you, a creative force of construction, the power of life.
Do not destroy thoughtlessly reality like the Russian orcs do in Ukraine.
Forget about the dark side of the force and focus on your authentic power to create something out of nothing. Recombining constituent parts of reality (as I do with my pictures) is one of the millions of other ways of what humans can do to make new things. Remember, you can go your own way. I would say you should go your own way. Find your creative paths, awake your creative powers, and let the force of art be with you until your final days.
