Creative independence is the most crucial issue regarding all my doings you see on the www.adammazek.com blog, my Dear Friend.
I cannot imagine doing street photography, writing, and managing this blog without creative independence. I work in an office and must listen, cooperate, and cope with others there. It is an everyday issue for millions of people. Still, regarding taking photos on Warsaw’s streets and writing straight out of my mind, I could not listen to others about what I should do here, on my website. In Adam Mazek, I trust. Even if I know I make many mistakes and that all my works of art, pictures, and texts are imperfect, I do not care what other people say, and I am still doing what I want to do. Why? Because, for me, it is creative independence that counts.
Suppose I had to listen to all the advice I received. In that case, I could not name myself an innovative, visionary, independent artist and freethinker.
After all, in one of my first posts, I wrote I wanted to find a sense of peace and calm while blogging and doing all the stuff connected with managing a website. There would be no sense in doing all creative things if someone else told me what I should do. In general, we cannot do what we want. There are always borders, for example, those imposed by the law and society. I do not want to break the law. Still, when I realized how many boundaries I have, I wanted to have total artistic freedom symbolically. That’s one of the reasons why I will manage my blog until the end of my life, or my health will let me do it. To create means to be free. Only our imagination can prevent us from creating spectacular works of art and doing marvelous things.
