Dangerous events.

Did I face dangerous events while doing street photography?

The answer to this question is straightforward: no, I did not have to face dangerous events while doing street photography. I decided to write this text because one of my friends asked me this question last time. After replying, I decided that I would write a post about it. Indeed, it seems strange that I still did not experience hazardous events while doing street photography, but it is merely a truth. What do I mean by writing dangerous events? For example, I never saw a car accident, was not robbed and wasn’t a victim of brawling. I hope I will never experience such events while doing street photography and while, e.g., driving home.

The truth is that I often wander through places where homeless people exist. Sometimes I do classic urbex. It is a moment when I explore abandoned buildings.

I know that someone could sneak up and hit me while doing such things. While writing all these things, I wondered if I had merely a bit of luck or if Warsaw is quite a safe city. Perhaps, these two issues combined made my street photography safe activity. The truth is that I do not seek adrenaline on Warsaw’s streets. For me, the best place to seek adrenaline is my bathroom. Taking cold showers is a challenge, thanks to which adrenaline is buzzing in my blood. I do not need additional doses of adrenaline.

I hope that I will never experience traumatic events while doing street photography. If you also have the same passion, my Dear Friend, I wish you the same. I recommend having eyes wide open, and if you see something disturbing, I believe it is always better to go away or escape. Or, if someone wants to steal your camera, I recommend giving it away and running. Save yourself, my Dear Friend.
