Based on the posts “Google Maps” and “Grammarly,” I started to wonder about the dangers of using applications. I believe that handling applications and, in general, AI must always be reasonable.
Why there are some dangers of using applications? Regarding Google Maps, unresponsible using this application could bring danger to my life or health. For example, it would be unreasonable to publish online my photographic walking routes regularly. Why? Because maybe someone would like to use such information for evil plans. The fact is that people are strange. No one ever knows who, when, and how someone would like to use the information published on the internet. Thus, I use Google Maps, but rather for my personal purposes. Who knows, maybe, someday I will use it to prepare a subsequent work of art connected with my walking paths. As for today, I do not have any right idea to do it.
On the other hand, the “Grammarly” application undoubtedly helped and developed my writing skills in the English language.
Nevertheless, it happened to some extent. If you write texts with errors, rightly counting on the fact that the application will correct your mistakes, this is not the right direction to develop and learn. Contrary. The brain becomes lazy. I plan to use the “Grammarly” app, but I know that I have to do it wisely. Thinking while writing, and not leaving to the AI a space to correct my potential mistakes, is a crucial factor to do it.
In turn, apps such as Facebook or Instagram can undoubtedly be addictive.
Thus, their use should also contain moderation and common sense. I always try to minimalize my time to spend on these apps, but it is quite hard to do that. Unfortunately, they are addictive. To summarize, I want to recommend using all mentioned-above applications. Still, we should always do it reasonably to avoid the dangers of using apps.
