David Bowie

Indeed, I have already mentioned in my previous blog posts about David Bowie a lot of times. But, I am sure that I will be coming back to him more times in the future.

Today, I want to write in general, about his songs, about his artistic legacy. I want to stress that his artworks inspire me practically all the time. David Bowie’s songs give me real motivation for creative activity. Both in writing and making photographs. I am one hundred percent certain that David Bowie’s songs will come up until the end of my life. Of course, the frequency of listening to his songs surely will be changing, but I do not doubt that, in general, I will not stop listening to his songs. As I mentioned before, Bowie’s artistic legacy inspires me, e.g., regarding the creative productivity of the images, but also they encourage me to write about these songs.

I will give you some of the examples of my posts, straightforward inspired by famous British artist: “Life on Mars?”, “Warszawa,” “Rebel Rebel,” “Space Oddity,” or “TVC15.”

The best thing is the fact that I know that it is only the matter of time when I write about his other artworks, like “Changes,” “Moonage Daydream,”Drive-in Saturday,” “Starman” or “Modern Love.”

Like with other things, I need time to invent something to write about these songs. To transform them into my artistic language, whether connected with photography or writing. I am sure that giving ourselves time with many things will bring us a lot of benefits. For example, if for today, I do not know what I can write about the “Drive-in Saturday” song, I am sure that it is a matter of time when something will come to my mind in the future.

The same thing was with creating this website. I had been making a lot of pictures before I launched my blog. While I was wandering through the streets of Warsaw, I did not know when and how I will present these pictures to the broader audience. I gave myself time to do that. Now, all you see and read on this website is also proof that hard work and patience will be rewarded.
