In one of my previous posts (“The process of PDFs edition”) I wrote that I will provide a step by step tutorial, of “Diaries” creation, in the future. Today is the future.
Inspired by my previous post today, I will fully describe the process of “Diaries” creation. Here we go:
1) The first step is filtering in WordPress my posts from a particular month for which I want to prepare “Diaries.” When I want to develop “Diaries” for May 2018, I choose this date.
2) Then, I am browsing all the posts to see which photo could be selected as a cover of my e-magazine.
To encourage myself to the next part of the job, I launch the Visme.co site (it is the place where I am making PDFs) and (after choosing the photographs for the cover), I add pictures to the Visme application. The first part of Diaries, a front cover, is ready!
3) The next part is the laborious one. By using Google Translator application, I translate all my posts from the English language into my mother tongue, the Polish. It is also a time when I made some corrections in the content from the past.
4) When I already have all posts translated, I go back to Visme, and I duplicate the last “Diaries.”
5) I add the front cover from point no 2 to the copied PDF.
5) Then, I add photographs from the posts to the PDF.
6) When photos are added, I copy a text prepared earlier (see point no. 3).
7) My beloved Kamilka always read version of “Diaries,” and she always gives me final corrections to a newly prepared edition of PDF.
8) I download the final version of the file from Visme, compress it, and add it to Flipbook. Flipbook is a plugin to WordPress, thanks to which we can read PDF files as a virtual book.
9) The last thing to do is to add a post with PDF file (both downloadable and Flipbook version) and schedule the post to the first Sunday of a subsequent month.
The whole process of “Diaries” creation, step by step, can take from two to three weeks. Why? It depends on many issues. I will write about them in the future.
