When the mind is lazy, the body is lethargic.
Or, when the body is inactive, the mind is sluggish. I reject the laziness of my mind and body. That’s why I do not only wake up in the morning to go to the office. It is also why I do street photography (usually taking a minimum of 10.000 footsteps) and write one text daily. Does that mean I do not like to lay on the couch and do nothing except eat pistachios? Of course, I love doing nothing. Still, I treat it instead as a prize for being active (mentally and physically) throughout the whole day. The truth is that I fight with myself, for myself, every single day. Laziness is one of the aspects of fighting with myself for a better tomorrow. I want to become a better man every subsequent day. I hope to encourage you, my Dear Friend, to fight your laziness.
Suppose you do not know from which point to start. In that case, I recommend doing intermittent fasting and taking cold showers (in the longer term, expose your body to frigid temperatures during winter).
Believe me that these two activities will boost your energy. You will remind yourself about the vital and potent power you had during childhood. Your body and mind will start working on the highest possible levels. Do it not for me. Please do it for yourself. I have no doubts that a lazy mind is in a limp, lifeless body.
I wrote this text lying on the couch on the 17th of June, 2022. Before, I read Roger D. Launius’ book about the history of space exploration (the Thames and Hudson publishing house). For me, these activities are not laziness. My mind works while doing all these things. Later, I will go to the barber and then, for two hours photo walking to do street photography. At the end of the day, I plan to go with my beloved Kamilka to the restaurant. It would be a reward for all my active doings.
