I won’t write in this post about the magnificent Steven Spielberg movie entitled “Duel.”
Today (I wrote this text on the 3rd of November, 2022), I want to stress that by taking a shower at 6 a.m. on a good morning, you have already fought and won the most crucial duel that awaits you in the coming day: it is a duel with yourself, a battle for yourself, a struggle with your own fear and weaknesses. If you take a cold shower in the morning, in fact, you may already consider your day victorious and triumphant. Today, I was doing street photography while it was 8 degrees Celsius (46,4 degrees Fahrenheit).
Earlier, before office work, I took a cold shower. When I did it, and when I got out of home and felt the morning chilling cold, I knew I would do street photography that day.
I felt energized and ready for activities in the office and after work. I’ve got the power. The more frequently I take cold showers in the early morning, the more I feel that I win a duel with myself every day, with my weaknesses, laziness, and fear. How happy I am the season of doing street photography in frigid temperatures has begun. During this period, I can fight myself twice, struggle with my weaknesses, and train my immunity early in the morning and after work.
The more I do it, the more I want it. OK, I must finish writing. I will go to sleep to be able to struggle tomorrow. I must rest to have enough power to fight against myself. Did I already mention that my worst enemy is myself? The truth is that the only one who can stop me from moving mountains is myself. The sky is not the limit, but one’s imagination or lack thereof.
