Undoubtedly, each book is a window to the new world.
I wrote many times on www.adammazek.com that I love to read books. If you read this post, my Dear Friend, I believe you also love to read books. Reading is one of the best, most pleasant, popular, and efficient ways to know the surrounding world. Other effective ways of learning are talking with different people and traveling. These two activities also open new windows and dimensions in one’s mind and imagination. The truth is that I cannot imagine living without reading. Reading became a part of my mind, soul, heart, and whole being. Undoubtedly, without my reading of Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s novels and tens of Taschen’s books, I would never create “Diaries.”
Reading books, exploring them, and opening a new window to the world provide my mind with constant stimuli, inspiration, and incentives.
In reading, I trust. Undoubtedly, getting to know other people’s thoughts by reading them is a process in one’s mind. It is like an exercise for the mind and imagination. Today (I wrote this text on the 8th of May, 2023), I read many of Taschen’s books. My other favorite publishing houses are English Phaidon and Thames & Hudson. The truth is that I buy new books only when there are sales both on Taschen’s official website and one of my favorite bookstores in Warsaw, Bookoff.
The more I read, the more I want to do it. Sometimes, I feel I could devote 80% of my spare time to reading. Did I mention that I read in the year 2013 practically all of Dostoyevsky’s books translated into Polish? For a few years, more than 95% of books I read are in the English language. I do it to have contact with this language. Moreover, I write in English to avoid forgetting how to do it.
