Eating from morning to evening.

June 1, 2025 by Adam Mazek

Eating from morning to evening, I find that first, it is problematic on the stomach and then hard on the mind.

I wrote this text on the 2nd of July, 2024, based on my experiences in Estonia. You will find more details about my way of eating during our stay in the Estonian city of Parnu in the text entitled “Unobvious Experiment.” Today, I want to stress that eating from morning to evening is problematic not only for my physical body but also for how my mind works. While eating from dusk till dawn, my mind was somewhat blocked. I did not have enough energy to write something profound. Of course, I was on vacation and did not feel guilty I could not write anything. Still, I had simply a brain fog. I wrote it once and will be writing about it many times: eating all day is not for me.

That’s why I do intermittent fasting.

The benefits I’ve experienced from intermittent fasting include improved mental clarity, increased energy levels, and better digestion. That’s why I do not eat anything earlier than 7 p.m. This journey has taught me the importance of self-awareness in understanding my dietary needs, enlightening me, and informing me of my choices. During the day, I only drink water and coffee. Once I start eating, I focus mainly on eggs, meat, vegetables, nuts, and cheese. I avoid processed food. Also, I avoid eating fruits. It is the middle of the summer in Poland, and I ate a small amount of strawberries this year.

Also, I do not eat cherries and raspberries.

I remember my stomach increased last summer after eating too many fruits. That’s why I plan to avoid it during the summer of 2024. Today, two weeks after returning from Estonia and returning to my usual way of eating, I reaffirmed that there is no better lifestyle for me than intermittent fasting. I believe and feel that the feeling of not being filled with food all the time is a natural state for the human body and mind. Making these conscious food choices gives me a sense of control and empowerment, inspiring me to continue on this path.
