If you want to change your life because you feel bad, start by changing your eating habits.
I believe that many (I do not say that all) health issues can be solved by changing eating habits. I am one example that after changing eating practices, my life changed dramatically, for the better. What’s the key to feeling better? For me, the keyword is intermittent fasting. Since Christmas in 2020, I regularly eat only between 7 p.m. and 12 p.m. I even shortened my eating period during my last days (I wrote this post on the 4th of June, 2021). Sometimes I can eat only one meal, at 9 p.m. Am I hungry all day? No. Unless you did not experience an actual famine like in some poorest African or Asian countries, most people living in developed countries (like me, here in Poland) do not know hunger.
We often confuse hunger with appetite.
Yes, healthy people have an appetite for eating. Still, too much eating is killing us. Modern civilization diseases (e.g., Alzheimer’s disease, atherosclerosis, asthma, cancer, chronic liver disease, Type 2 diabetes, heart disease, or hypertension) appeared en masse because people have a sedentary lifestyle and eat too often and too much. That’s why I do not want to be like most other people. I do not say that intermittent fasting will end all your problems. Still, I believe that it can help you with many health issues. When I realize that I added freezing showers to intermittent fasting, I must admit that I feel like a demigod. I feel and look much younger.
Moreover, I am even more artistically prolific (I write practically every day). I do not feel as tired and sleepy as before. I’ve got the power to live more than one hundred years. If I start to feel worse in the future, I will begin to eat less frequently. Speaking shortly: I recommend you, my Dear Friend, change your eating habits if you feel bad. Try intermittent fasting and cold showers. I believe that you won’t regret it. Less is more.
