I wrote the “Endurance limit, part II.” text on the 16th of January, 2023. It was the day I published the “Endurance limit” post.
In the first part, I stated that I had reached my endurance limit when I walked in frigid temperatures, wearing summer clothes without a winter cap and gloves. It happened on the 18th of November, 2022. The truth is that more than one year later, on the 8th of January 2024, I reached my other endurance limit. Also, I beat my own record. How? By walking in summer clothes (including adammazek.com t-shirt, shorts, and sneakers) and with a winter cap and gloves while it was -12 degrees Celsius (10.4 degrees Fahrenheit). I was walking only for 26 minutes. It was a short time for me, knowing that I could walk for almost two hours while it was -5 or even -6 degrees Celsius.
For today, I could not do street photography and walk for two hours wearing summer clothes while it was -12 degrees Celsius.
I simply reached my endurance limit. Perhaps I will beat my record in the future. I do not know what the future holds. Still, for today, I would not be able to do it. I am not a demigod but a simple human. For today, I am simply happy I managed to walk for 26 minutes while it was so freezing. I must admit my fingertips hurt a lot. Perhaps I could stand this pain and walk another fifteen minutes, but it was not my day to do it. Besides, I respect freezing temperatures and prefer to be careful with them. The truth is it was the first time I could walk in summer clothes in such frigid temperatures, and I did not know what to expect besides pain. I will finish this writing. It is time to sleep.
