By reading my blog, you will know everything and nothing about me.
For instance, you might learn about my favorite books, but you won’t know the exact moment they became my favorites. You might understand my perspective on specific issues, but you won’t fully comprehend the experiences that shaped that perspective. The older I am, the more I feel I know everything and nothing about myself. Undoubtedly, humans are tremendous creatures who usually try to use their minds, ask themselves questions, and try to find the answers.
I am not an exception.
I like to ask myself many questions. Still, the more I try to get to know, the more I feel I am moving away from the truth about myself. How is that possible? I believe it is pretty similar to what happens in science all the time. Just as in science, the more we discover, the more answers we provide, the more we know, the more riddles we solve, and the more and more further questions and doubts arise.
In the same way, the more we learn about ourselves, the more we realize how much we don’t know.
Essentially, the more we learn about ourselves and the world around us, the more we realize how much we don’t know. This shared experience of perpetual self-reflection and doubt is what connects us as human beings. I believe it is a neverending process. That’s why we will only partially understand every happening occurring in both deep space and deep in ourselves. It is also one of the reasons why you will know everything and nothing about me while reading the www.adammazek.com blog. I always try to share the most crucial information about myself. Still, I believe everyone is auto-censoring themselves, meaning we filter our thoughts and feelings before expressing them.
We will never tell and write 100% of what we really think.
Is that because we have something to hide? It may be only a partial answer. The other side of the coin is that we are too limited creatures to be able to transform our thoughts into oral or written words 100%. It was Fyodor Dostoyevsky who wrote this remarkable idea. I do not know how much you will know me, my Dear Friend, even if you have read all my previous texts. Bear in mind this text is text No. 1663, and each of my notes has a minimum of 300 words. Still, even if you read all my writings, you will know me minimally.
