I want to remain in collective cultural memory as a truly unique person, not a famous one.
It is not the first time my post from the past inspired me to write something new. This time, a post named “The uglier the places I photograph, the more beautiful pictures I take” gave me incentives. How do I plan to be unique when I know millions of other street photographers are walking through cities’ streets and making incredible shots?
I will provide some things:
1) I am a street photographer/artist, but I work as an accountant. This fact helps me be totally independent in everything you see on my blog, my Dear Friend.
2) I aim to become the most prolific photographer. How do I plan to do it? By taking pictures almost every day in my neighborhood. I do not need to wait for anything to take good photographs. All I need is to go out and do street photography.
3) Since the summer of 2021, I have been doing street photography only by wearing the www.adammazek.com t-shirt. By doing it, I promote myself. While writing it, I wondered if other street photographers do the same. I do not know it.
4) Since fall/winter 2021/2022, I have been exposing my body to frigid temperatures. I do not wear a winter jacket while doing street photography, even if it is below zero degrees Celsius (32 degrees Fahrenheit).
5) If you take a look at my works like “Diaries” or sets of pictures, like “Negation of the End,” “Inspired by Tolkien,” or “Big Brother,” you will see that such works are unique.
As you see, my Dear Friend, this is how I plan to be unique.
I don’t care if, and if yes, when, I become a famous person. The last thing I have to say in this post is that uniqueness is common. I already wrote about it in my previous text. Remember that you also possess creative powers to remain in collective cultural memory as a truly unique person. You can go your own way to do it, my Dear Friend.
