Sometimes I compare my passions (both photography and running this website) to fishing. Thanks to which people could survive and overcome hunger, this specific part of the activity is known worldwide since humankind’s very beginning.
Undoubtedly, even primitive people were catching fish to get some food to fill the stomachs during the Stone Age. Even today, a fishermen’s industry possesses a lot of work to feed modern societies. My passion is similar to fishing: art nourishes my soul like fish can bring food to our bodies. I do photographs to survive. It is like a cure for my heart. Thanks to my passion, I am feeling reborn. I have never possessed this kind of feeling before.
Moreover, my hobbies help to place in order a lot of things in my mind. While creating all these things, I feel like a happy child in the playground.
Today, there are a lot of people who go fishing as a hobby. They go out to the river, lake, or the sea, and do it because they love this kind of activity. When they catch some fish, they feel proud of themselves. The same me, when I make a good photograph. Another common issue is that fishermen and artists like me, possess much time (during making hobbies) to contemplate lives.
The fact is that when our brain is relaxed (e.g., thanks to creating art), the best idea can come to our mind.
Of course, I want to stress that fishing and photographing are not the only activities that can help us contemplate and solve many cases. Nevertheless, fishing can fill our stomachs with food, in the same way, photography, art, and passion can bring healing properties to our heart and soul. Oh, and by the way: I’m not particularly eager to eat fish. That is why I do not do the fishing, even though in Brok, I have many opportunities to do it. For today, regarding my passion, I focus only on photography and this website.
