The creation of art is the highest mental and spiritual form of luxury.

I often see the creation of art as the highest mental and spiritual form of luxury.

I think that the possibility or willingness to the creation of art for many people seems unreachable. Why? Many people (e.g., those living in the Third World countries [starting from North Korea via some South-Eastern Asian countries, through most African lands to some of the South American countries]) cannot create anything because they must focus on how to survive in their country. On the other hand, in developed or developing countries, not everyone makes something from nothing. Why? Many people would say that they do not possess a talent for anything. Others would say that they are too lazy to create new things. Moreover, many of them would say that they do not have time for it. Why? How is it possible that people do not possess enough time for the creation of art?

It happens because most people living in developing and developed countries focus on earning money, not creating new things.

Unfortunately, consumerism rules. That’s why creating works of art is the highest mental and spiritual form of luxury. Not everyone can do it. I mean, paradoxically, all people can do it. Still, rather minority create new things. Most people will find thousands of reasons why they do not even try to make something from nothing. Whether it is writing a text, painting a picture, singing, dancing, sculpting, most of us can make new things. But, if you believe that you cannot, I suggest you think about photography. My Dear Friend, no matter where you live, I encourage you to start taking photos using your phone. Making photographs is probably the most democratic way to become creative.

By taking pictures, we all can improve not only the world but mainly ourselves. The fact is that thanks to the photography we can receive the best reward, that is the feeling that we also create new things. Undoubtedly, this kind of feeling is the highest mental and spiritual form of luxury.
