Between the 7th and 9th of July, 2024, I managed to live for forty hours without water drinking.
I’ve already written two posts about dry fasting. I started dry fasting on the 7th of July at 9 p.m. I broke my fast by drinking half of a water glass on the 9th of July at 1 p.m. How did I feel after forty hours without water? I decided to drink half of a water glass because I started to feel tired. For me, it was a clear signal from my organism that perhaps I should do something. Indeed, for my organism, it was the first time that I had stressed it so much. Did I mention that another controllable way to stress one’s body (to harden it and make it more resilient to illnesses) is to expose it to cold and working out).
I am used to long periods without food (for over three and a half years, I have not eaten earlier than 7 p.m.). Why did I drink only half of the glass of water?
It is because I heard that we should break dry fasting by drinking a small amount of water. That’s why I drank another half cup of water 10 minutes later after initial drinking. Another ten minutes later, I drank a full glass of water. Twenty minutes after the last activity, I drank two and a half cups of water. Did my energy increase? Not that much, but I felt better. My energy level increased after I ate food a few hours later. I think it was the first time in my life that I did not want to sleep after eating, but it increased my energy. I am 39 years old, and I am still discovering my body. Do I plan to repeat dry fasting? Yes, I will do it. Still, I think it will last shorter than my first experience.
