Freedom

Last time I thought about freedom. I suppose that there are a lot of definitions of freedom. I possess my interpretation.

The fact is that I feel 100% free when I am walking through the streets of Warsaw and take photos. At this moment, you can ask me, my Dear Guest:

Is that mean that when you do not take photographs, you are not free?

Of course, it’s not like I felt imprisoned, in a cage, or on a leash before I started making photographs regularly. When I create, I sense the intimate feeling of freedom runs through my body, my heart, my mind, and my imagination. I believe that it is only up to me what I do with my art. I possess the same feeling when I am writing the texts. Writing this post is not an exception. But, I am convinced that physical activity in walking is giving the intensity of this feeling.

Another fear (besides becoming, e.g., homeless) is to get to jail.

I fear becoming someone who does not have personal freedom. I do not want to have a lack of liberty for creation, for a living, for breathing. Indefinitely being jailed is one of the worst things which could happen in a human’s life. Sometimes I try to imagine how would look like my life behind the jails’ bars. Undoubtedly, I would forget about taking photos. I am sure that I could write regularly, but I am unsure if I would have the tools to do that. The only thing that I am sure of is the fact that I would still stretch my muscles.
In conclusion, I want to stress that I love art. For me, art is equal with liberty – liberty of creation. We can make something from nothing. It is only up to us which way of creativity, freedom, and life we will choose.
