I wrote it once before, but I want to stress it once again. For me, having fun while photographing is the most important thing regarding my hobby.
I recalled it to myself last time while making photographs. I was taking pictures on the streets of Warsaw four days in a row. It was the period between 14-17 of July 2018. There wouldn’t be anything special in this fact. But, I want to stress that I was wandering in the rain during all these four days. I recalled to myself how much fun it is to take pictures during the rainy weather.
Of course, at this moment, I should say that the crucial thing while making photographs outdoor is to possess a proper rainproof jacket. Indeed, it is true. Nevertheless, for the first two days (14-15), I did not have one.
I got soaked. Then, I recalled how easy it is to get captivated by refreshing rain during hot summer days. It is so childish to get wet during long photo walks. Nevertheless, to avoid getting cold, I maintained a raincoat during the period of 16-17.
Also, I reminded myself of how important it is to have fun while doing all the things we love to do. Having joy should be the most significant part of our passion. If we do not have fun while working on our hobby, this activity is not our passion. The ideal is when we possess (as I did, during the days mentioned above) pure, sincere, childish fun.
What’s also interesting, while taking pictures on the streets, there are no people on the streets during the rain. The view of the buildings, roads, and all the mundane surroundings becomes pure and minimalistic.
In conclusion, I want to remind you, my Dear Friend, that the weather should not be an obstacle to your passion. If you do love taking pictures in the weather should not hold back in developing your creative passion.
