Today, I will write about glass.
The world can be beautiful or disgusting. It all depends on how we look at it and what point of view we take. Personally, I try to see beauty in ordinary, gray reality. Paradoxically, I would say that my creativity and street photos, contrary to appearances, are optimistic. I want to see the glass half full and not empty. I wrote this text on the 22nd of November, 2022.
Moreover, I was inspired to write based on my personal notes written on the 20th of August, 2018. When I returned to my thoughts from the past, I realized how fast time had floated. Indeed, it’s been more than five years since I managed the www.adammazek.com website. Since I started writing a post for my blog, I realized how many topics I have to share with others.
Still, it is only a fraction of my insights that appear in my mind.
Undoubtedly, one of them is my insights regarding focusing on the glass being half full and not empty. Even though I see many grey and dull things around me, I always seek beauty in them.
Doing street photography is the essence of this search. It is only up to us how we transform signals from our surroundings and how we interpret them in our minds. We can see the same happenings as positive phenomena or negative ones.
I consider myself an optimistic realist who stomps hard on his feet, but at the same time, he wants to have his eyes and mind wide open. I know there can be situations that will overwhelm us. We can have worse and more lazy days when we do nothing profound. Still, all these things do not mean we should not try doing all these things. In today’s post, I want to stress it is only up to us whether we consider the surrounding world unique and special.
