Go extreme.

February 16, 2024 by Adam Mazek

Today (I wrote this text on the 17th of December, 2022), I told myself to go extreme before I took a subsequent walk wearing summer clothes in frigid temperatures.

It was -5 degrees Celsius (23 degrees Fahrenheit). Did someone comment on my strange activity? Yes, one woman asked whether I felt cold. I replied I felt a freezing temperature, but this frigid cold did not affect my body’s temperature. She wondered how I managed to stand freezing cold. I answered I had taken cold showers for almost two years. That’s how I got used to coldness. She said she greatly respected me and wished me a nice day.

Thanks, and the same to you! I answered.

Then, after returning to walking, I realized I go extreme in my activities connected with cold. Still, in this case, I think I do right. While writing this text, I started to read one of my posts from the past I published on my blog on the 17th of December, 2022. The post’s name was “Three degrees Celsius.” I wrote it in October 2021. I wrote there something like this:

I imagine myself walking in the freezing cold on Warsaw’s streets with the www.adammazek.com t-shirt and short pants.

While thinking about all these things, I realized that I went extreme by walking in freezing cold wearing the www.adammazek.com t-shirt, short pants, and summer sneakers. The only winter clothes I had were my winter cap and gloves. White snow surrounded me like a magical land of snow and ice. I was thrilled. Undoubtedly, walking in frigid temperatures evokes a euphoric state in my mind. Perhaps I am addicted to it. How will I cope with the lack of freezing temperatures during hot summer days? I think cold showers will help to survive. Still, the more I expose my body to coldness, the more I want to go extreme with this tremendous activity.
