The idea which came to my mind last time: good old days are today.
Last time I realized that a lot of people live in the past. Sometimes I am also the one who does that. Every single time when I start to remind past times and think, “Oh, God! These were good old days!” In general, I try to explain that all days of our lives are like good, old times.
My theory is this: all parts of our lives possess their own unique and specific pros and cons. Of course, there are parts of our lives (connected with, e.g., illnesses) where it is tough to find advantages.
Nevertheless, when people are dying and summarize up their entire lives, most of them see the advantages in every aspect of ending existence. I think that I will be one of them. I am convinced that I will see my entire life as one enormous “good old days times before my death.” Time possesses its unique “healing” properties.
There is also quite a known proverb: time heals all wounds. I think this proverb is the key to understanding this post.
No matter how bad times you have, I believe that at the end of our lives, all the moments from the past will be those which we name “the good old days.”
For today, I imagine that every day of my life is the best one. Of course, there are a lot of moments when I am sad, angry, and I do not want to talk with anyone. Nevertheless, after some period, I am sure that even when I was mad, I will perceive it as the right moment of my life.
To summarize, I want to stress that life is too short to be angry at anything. No matter what circumstances appeared in our life, we should always try to seek the advantages of every situation and see the experience as a gift. Thus, we should try to perceive our mundane world as a “good old day.”
