Health is wealth.

The older I am, the more I feel and understand that health is wealth.

This understanding has not come from books or lectures, but from my own personal journey towards better health. It’s a journey I’m still on, and one that I’m excited to share with you. That’s why I do intermittent fasting, expose my body to cold by taking cold showers and walking in summer clothes in freezing temperatures, and ruck. For example, yesterday (I wrote this text on the 8th of May, 2025), I was rucking for over two hours and took over 13k steps. I had an additional weight on my back and shoulders of 34 kg (75 lbs.).

I know that in one of my previous texts, I wrote that I was rucking with 35 kg.

Still, yesterday I was returning from the office (remember, my Dear Friend, I work in a broadly defined Finance area), and I weighed my rucksack before leaving my home. That’s why I can now provide detailed information about how much my rucksack actually weighs. Earlier, I made some assumptions about that one.
Undoubtedly, walking with the heavy equipment helped me improve my health. How do I know it? I feel it. I feel much greater strength and power. I see my muscles have grown, from foot to neck. The older I am, the more clearly I see I should focus not on earning money but on my health.

There is no better way to do it than by fasting and rejecting drinking alcohol, sugar, processed food, and smoking shitty things.

Also, I have no doubt that cold keeps me more resilient toward adversities all the time. Rucking literally makes me a more powerful human. It is not the case that I expect to become a demigod. No. Still, while being in my prime, I clearly see and feel that there is nothing more valuable than health. I hope to be healthy for as long as possible. Nevertheless, I know I have my limitations and sooner or later, some health issues can simply appear. We all should remember that health is wealth.
