Today I want to promote the Polish band “Hengelo” and their song “Try.”
A few months ago, I heard this tune on the Polish radio station “Antyradio.” I wrote this text on the 9th of August, 2022. It was a day when I listened to Youtube after working and doing street photography. The AI reminded me of the fantastic song of the Polish band. I decided to promote it by writing about the fact that such a song exists. The Hengelo band is relatively unknown to Poland’s broadly defined public audience. If you want to hear the entitled music, my Dear Friend, search the phrase “HENGELO – TRY // SILESIA LIVE SESSION” on YouTube. I already wrote a post about Non-English songs stating that such tunes have a more complicated issue regarding becoming popular worldwide. Why? Because the English language, contrary to, e.g., Polish, is spoken all over the world.
Thus, English songs are more likely to become worldwide famous.
Hengelo’s “Try” song is in English. Still, it is simply worth my recommendation. I bet you did not hear it before, my Dear Friend, assuming you are not living in Poland. The truth is that I want to support other Polish niche artists because I believe that it is worth doing. I wrote many times on the www.adamamzek.com website that it is a time which is the best judge regarding artworks’ validation.
Undoubtedly, Hengelo’s “Try” song will be judged by future generations. All these things do not mean you cannot merely turn the sound on and listen to it. For me, it is worth my time. I wonder how many similar Polish bands play great music and sing in English. Perhaps I should listen to the “Antyradio” more frequently. While writing all these things, I reminded myself of another song entitled “The Devil and Mister Jones” (by the Polish band Spoon). As far as I remember, this song is also worth listening to.
